Veterinary Receptionist Job at VetPartners – Rosebery NSW

We are a vibrant 24-hour hospital with a talented team of vets, nurses, and support staff – all working together to provide the best possible care to our clients and their pets.

Some of the duties will include:
Greeting and managing clients and patients

Answering busy phone lines, ability to handle multiple calls

Scheduling appointments for multiple veterinarians and nurses

Client and patient data management

Providing administrative support to veterinarians and management

Cleaning of reception and consult areas

The ideal applicant will have:
A solid professional background in providing outstanding customer service

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a pleasant and professional phone manner

Well-developed computer skills, including speedy typing and accurate data entry

A willingness to go above and beyond to provide the best possible care to our clients

Genuine empathy and understanding for people in difficult situations

A strong work ethic with excellent organisational skills and time management

A dedication to working well within a team and supporting co-workers from all areas of the hospital

A commitment to learning and ongoing improvement

The ability to work well under pressure and remain calm in emergency situations

Availability to work on a rotating roster

A love of animals great and small – including wildlife!

Prior experience working in a veterinary practice or medical reception environment will be viewed favourably, as will any qualifications regarding animal care.
